Russian aggression in Ukraine contributing to AMR

The atrocious Russian aggression in Ukraine not only kills tens of thousands of people but also contributes to Antimicrobial Resistance in the hundreds of Ukrainian wards where wounded soldiers and citizens are treated. The intensive use of antibiotics appears to contribute to antibiotics resistance. This creates another Russian threat to Ukraine and the rest of the world.
BBC’s Ukraine correspondent in Lviv visited Lviv’s general hospital and spoke with rehabilitating Ukrainian soldiers, hospitalized civilians and with officials. His article, ‘Ukraine war: The cost and scale of rehabilitating the wounded’, can be found here.
